PSA Summer camp is back in 2019, In 2018 we had over 200 campers registered for our summer camps in SE Minnesota.
Often times when you are playing for your summer team coaches focus more on team tactics than actually individual technique. We will help your player to use the weak foot, make a move to beat a defender and have a better ball control. All that in a fun and exciting environment.
INTENTIONAL PRACTICE + DELIBERATE GAMES + FREE PLAY = ACCELERATED LEARNING
USYF Identification Camp in 2019 had a record of registrations. Players from all over Minnesota and from all over the US came to Minneapolis for the 2 day camp with some of the most experienced futsal coaches in the US including the former US National Futsal Team Coach Mr. Keith Tozer.
The goal for PSA in the season of 2019/2020 is to bring players to this event and potentially having players in the National Team. We are working hard for that.
The Minnesota Futsal ID is the biggest futsal ID Camp in the US with over 120 players trying out for the National Team.
Between our 3 programs (Rochester OMC, Rochester GAGE, and Kasson) we had over 150 players participating in our futsal program.
We participated in local competitions with all age groups.
If skills development is important, Futsal is recognized as clearly the best form of indoor soccer. But that’s not the only reason.
- Better Skills Development - Futsal promotes quality touches
- Less Expensive - Futsal makes quality soccer more affordable
PSA Coach and Executive Director Leo Barbosa was one of the US Youth Futsal Coaches at the USYF ID. The event was held in St. Paul, MN and selected over 10 players from Minnesota to represent the US Futsal National Team.
The National Team Futsal Coach Keith Tozer was leading the sessions and coach Leo was responsible for the Goalkeepers.
"Exciting to be around so many talented coaches and players. The game of futsal is growing in Minnesota and with it the quality of the players" Coach Leo
